This ambitious project by Ultimate Home Cinema has Procella Audio at its heart, ensuring visitors enjoy the very best audio experience possible.
Founded in 2019 and based in Greater London, Ultimate Home Cinema has established itself as a leader in high-end home theatre sales and AV integration. Under the leadership of Mehmet Kohman, the company specialises in crafting bespoke cinema experiences that blend cutting-edge technology with seamless integration. Ultimate Home Cinema designs tailor-made systems that transform home entertainment spaces into immersive, state-of-the-art cinemas. The company wanted to create a high-performance showroom to demonstrate the capabilities of modern home cinema systems.
Mehmet explains, “The initial planning for this cutting-edge demo facility took shape in 2022, driven by a commitment to creating a high-channel, high-performance space where clients could experience our brands at their absolute best. Designed to push the boundaries of home cinema, this state-of-the-art environment showcases the pinnacle of audiovisual technology, offering an immersive and uncompromising demonstration of world-class sound and visuals.
“This fully treated room features a 13.8.12 Procella Audio system, driven by Trinnov Audio’s industry-leading processing and amplification, ensuring breathtaking sound precision.”
The system also features processing from MadVR Envy, a Kaleidescape movie/content system and a JVC NZ900 projector paired with a 165in CinemaScope screen. To optimise contrast and eliminate reflections, the walls and ceiling are draped in black velvet.
A front baffle wall was constructed to optimise the main soundstage, ensuring precise speaker placement and seamless acoustic integration of the Procella Audio speaker array. The speakers chosen for this project include P815 LCR speakers – high-output, full-range units delivering exceptional clarity, dynamics and impact. Also housed in the same unit are four 18in Pro Driver subwoofers and three Procella P6 speakers (front/height channels), enhancing vertical immersion and spatial accuracy.
A further baffle wall at the rear of the space houses four additional 18in subwoofers, placed directly opposite the front subwoofers to create a perfectly balanced bass response using Trinnov WaveForming technology. This technology employs advanced algorithms and real-time measurement to cancel out reflections and room nodes that can impact audio quality.
This baffle also contains four Procella P6V MK2 rear surround speakers, precisely positioned to deliver an enveloping surround experience, along with two Procella P6 MK2 speakers (left and right rear height channels) to enhance overhead immersion for a fully three-dimensional soundstage. For both baffle walls, custom-built cabinetry was designed to optimise speaker placement, ensuring seamless compliance with the requirements of Trinnov WaveForming technology.
Mehmet explains, “The Procella Audio 13.8.12 hybrid layout has been designed for high SPL without distortion, perfect for reference-level playback. Uniform dispersion ensures every seat is in the sweet spot. Tuned for both music and film, this cinema offers unparalleled realism and impact.
“We also designed the hybrid speaker layout to accommodate all immersive audio formats, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro-3D, ensuring optimal performance and versatility for any cinematic experience.”
